About Johanna McCormick
I was never an athlete. When it came time to pick teams in gym class, I was always chosen last - coordination and speed were not my strong suit! I grew up, kept moving and tried to connect with some form of movement that made me feel good. Fast forward to 2003 and my introduction to Pilates.
Although I was overwhelmed during my first reformer session, I also felt a sense of intrigue. I had a feeling this new exercise could prove transformative in my life. From that day on, I showed up three days a week learning, listening, making mistakes and simply practicing the method that would change me forever.
After ten years of consistent practice, I decided it was time to share the knowledge I had gained. Continuing education and multiple certifications are an important element of pilates, but no training is better than years of experience applying the method yourself.
